Grand Lake's Premier Retail Fly Fishing Destination

Since 2001, Kirks Flyshop has served Grand Lake fishing enthusiasts and welcomed countless newcomers to the water. Our own passion for clear mountain air, burbling rivers, and the satisfaction of catching Colorado trout helped us become a trusted hub for anglers exploring Rocky Mountain National Park and the surrounding high country. Owned by fisherman and Rocky Mountain enthusiast Kirk Bien, we’re thrilled to continue our tradition of outfitting experienced anglers and introducing the joy of fishing to newcomers. When you choose Kirks, you’re supported by a team dedicated to delivering an exceptional outdoor experience.

As the only full-line fly shop and outdoor store in Grand Lake, we provide everything you need to enjoy the scenic lakes and rivers of the Rocky Mountains. In addition to more than 1,000 flies from leading brands and local tiers, you’ll find reels, waders, boots, jackets, and essential gear for changing mountain conditions.

Beyond the shop, we help anglers get the most from their visit with guided Grand Lake fly fishing and scenic guided Colorado River float trips. Visitors seeking a relaxed day on the water can enjoy Grand Lake fishing charters, while those wanting a deeper wilderness experience can explore backpacking Rocky Mountain National Park, a multi-day Colorado fly fishing trip, or a scenic Guided llama hiking Colorado adventure.

You can also rent gear from us and discover why so many anglers return year after year to fish the Rocky Mountains. Stop by our Grand Lake location, get outfitted with confidence, and start planning your next day on the water.
